Hello! My name is Mara!
I am the owner of Mara's Tours and Travel
and have been a certified guide since 2017.
I have been doing walking tours within Bucharest, as well as bus tours around Romania for both small and large groups.
I decided to create my own business so I can now provide a more tailored experience to suite my tourists.
As a local I can offer an unique experience not only by discovering the must-see-sights but also adding culinary experiences and an insight of authentic Romanian cultures.

Elena was brilliant! She clearly loves her city, and has a vast knowledge of its history (the good and bad) and its culture. This was our first activity in Bucharest, and was a perfect way to get an overview of what Bucharest held in store, and it greatly enriched the rest of our time in the city.

Our experience with Mara was excellent! A very prepared and passionate guide, answering our questions and showing us pictures of the city as it was in the past. The tour was well thought, we “travelled” through time knowing history and curiosity of Bucarest. Definitely a tour we recommend to start visiting the city!
